151: packs, Snorlax, or the Mew display?

By PokeScratch Editorial · Published · Updated

Choose between the regular ETB, Pokémon Center ETB, booster bundle, and Ultra-Premium Collection without confusing their collector premiums.

Decide what you are buying besides packs

151 is an easy set in which to confuse a product you want with a product that happens to contain the same packs. Start with one of three goals: opening the set, collecting the Snorlax edition, or displaying the Mew collection. The cheapest box total does not answer all three questions.

The regular ETB contains nine packs and a Snorlax promo. The Pokémon Center edition contains eleven packs and two Snorlax promos, including a stamped one. The Ultra-Premium Collection moves to sixteen packs and a Mew-focused accessory and promo selection. These counts describe the English products linked below, not every language or regional edition.

A ceiling for the edition premium

Here is a hypothetical comparison, not a current quote: a regular ETB at $90 costs $10 per pack. An eleven-pack Pokémon Center ETB at $165 costs $15 per pack if you assign the entire purchase to packs. At the regular box’s $10 pack benchmark, eleven packs account for $110, leaving $55 of the PC price to justify through its edition and extras.

That $55 is not the market value of the stamped promo. It is a personal decision boundary: if you do not want the edition enough to spend the difference, buy the regular box or compare another pack format. This avoids turning a desirable stamp into an automatic buy at any price.

Who should skip each format?

Use the comparison below to check prices for the exact editions, then open a product for its source and collection tools. Missing information stays missing; in particular, the bundle’s unverified pack count is not silently guessed.

  • Regular ETB: skip repeat boxes if you already have Snorlax and storage and mainly want packs.
  • PC ETB: skip the edition premium if the stamped promo is not part of your collection goal.
  • Booster bundle: investigate for a compact purchase, but verify the printed count and distinguish one bundle from a display.
  • Ultra-Premium Collection: skip if you will not use the playmat, deck box, or Mew items. Sixteen packs alone do not make the higher total a bargain.

Sealed comparison, not an opening prediction

The calculator does not predict card pulls. Do not subtract hypothetical Mew, Mewtwo, or Snorlax sale proceeds from the purchase unless you separately account for the exact card, condition, fees, and the possibility it does not sell. If you keep a box sealed, compare packaging condition and the full edition instead of treating it as interchangeable loose packs.

For an actual listing, record item price, shipping, quantity, language, and whether all factory contents remain inside. A 151 label alone does not establish that two offers describe the same purchase.
